Canopy Shape & Balance
Our canopy reshaping service is what we do most often. Most trees in our eco system have very unhealthy growth patterns that have evolved over time due to overpopulation, cedar dominance, drought and lack of care.
We often see branches that are growing downward with little or no horizontal lift. This type of growth is usually due to the tree’s effort to get to sunlight. Many times, one side of the canopy will be overly dominant compared to the other side. And sometimes there are too many trees resulting in overpopulation.
Many canopies will have too much underbelly growth. This type of growth pattern is unhealthy and creates stress on the tree. Trees with too much underbelly growth put extra demand on the root system to provide water that in most cases, it doesn’t have.
Trees not cared for can have multiple layers sandwiched together. This is unhealthy and adds additional stress to the tree because it is unable to get needed sunlight.
Why Tribemania?
Most tree service companies primarily trim only the dead branches. This type of trimming is only aesthetic and does not improve the overall health of the tree. We use a proprietary cutting pattern that reshapes the canopies to where they have balanced and healthy growth patterns.
This type of cut reverses the declining process of the tree and gives the tree a new healthy growth pattern. By properly shaping and balancing the tree, intake and uptake of water and nutrients needed is enhanced. This also reduces unwanted leaf and branch population, allowing the tree to more efficiently intake water.
Tribemania’s shape and balance cut is especially important in the oak population because of the connected roots. The connected roots of live oaks are a much more complex than other tree species. Because of the interconnected and shallow root systems, other trees nearby can also be unbalanced and therefore stressed.
Included with our shape and balance cut is a root inoculation that helps boost the root systems ability to take in water. You can learn more about this in Root Inoculation Service.

Canopy Reshaping Service
Pricing on the Canopy Reshaping Service will vary from job to job and it is based upon the number of zones. A zone is an area of trees that are tapping into the same soil zone area. For example the front yard and the back yard could each be a zone depending upon how large the area is determines the number of zones. The scope in each zone is the shape and balance cut, hauling off the cuttings and a 200 gallon root inoculation. I will perform an onsite assessment to determine the number of zones on your property that enables you to prioritize how many zones are in your budget. Each zone is a cost of $3,500.00.
